Howard Hendrix Powell is an actor, comedian, and content creator based in New York City. Currently performing Off Broadway in DRUNK SHAKESPEARE and on HAROLD NIGHT at UCB. Howard’s original brand characters, sketches, standup, and improv have debuted at various theatres in New York, Chicago, and LA including: The Second City, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Caveat, UCB Franklin, and iO Theatre. As an emerging comedy content creator Howard brings his absurd and offbeat characters to life on social media and youtube. Including some fan-favorite sketches gaining viral attention. In advertising, Howard has appeared in a national commercial for CNN, as well as, multiple ad campaigns for agencies including SLMBR PRTY, Animus Studios, Digital Surgeons, and Colony Video to name a few. Howard is starring in three independent films set to hit the 2026 festival circuit titles include: SOMETHING HAPPENED (dark comedy), The Vacuum Seal (psychological thriller), and The Rainbow Chaser (mockumentary). Howard is in the cast of two hit comedy troupes including THEATER: the improvised play monthly at UCB, and YES AND the City (improvised episode of Sex and the City) at BCC and The Second City. Howard received a BA in Theatre Arts from Western Connecticut State University and continued on to study Film acting at the Freeman Studios.
