Howard Hendrix Powell is a multifaceted talent, excelling in acting, comedy, content creation, writing, and modeling. As a half-Black American, Howard brings a unique perspective and authenticity to his craft. He received his BA in Theatre Performance from Western Connecticut State University, where he honed his skills and earned acclaim from their Visual and Performing Arts Center.

Based in New York City, Howard has performed stand-up, improv, sketch, and original characters at Caveat, The Peoples Improv Theater, The Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and Upright Citizens Brigade. He has also taught, performed and coached comedy workshops at universities such as Elon and Stockton. Howard has studied comedy writing at the Squirrel Comedy Theatre and graduated all levels of Improv at The Upright Citizen's Brigade. His improv comedy team Birdie and Dusty performs regularly in NYC and is made up of some of the brightest minds from UCBT NY.

Howard has trained with Emmy-nominated Jason Alexander, known for his work on hit shows like Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and studied film acting at Freeman Studios in Manhattan. A Jiujitsu enthusiast, he brings discipline and focus to all aspects of his life, both on and off the mat.

Managed by Jodi Colins of JLC Entertainment Group and Sandy Erikson of Vic Ramos Management, Howard has been put in front of casting directors for major networks and streaming platforms, such as Peacock, Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max. He has appeared in a range of genres, from indie films to Hulu's first original movie, "The Binge." Howard also stars in "Overdue," a SAG Independent production making its festival run in 2023, showcasing his range as a romantic leading POC.

In addition to his narrative work, Howard has a deep network of branded content collaborations. He has worked with companies like Subway, HUUE, GCI Outdoor, I-cleanse, and Arculus, and created user-generated content for PROSE. Howard collaborates with advertising agencies like Digital Surgeons and production companies like SLMBR PRTY, Colony Video, Animus Studios and more, expanding his reach and reputation as talent and creator.
